Higher Education and the Slowing Economy

Going to college?  If you are using student loans, you may be getting frustrated with your financial aid office because you still show a balance when you know you have qualified for loans, etc.  But because of the dragging economy, homeowners are not the only ones sighing in dismay, college students are breaking in sweats.

According to an article on FoxBusiness.com, the higher education sector, or colleges and universities, are having a hard time receiving funds for students who qualify for student loans.  

However, there's an upside to the slowing economy and higher education sector, more people are taking advantage of this time to return to school.  Major corporations are doing massive layoffs, giving individuals who want to return to school, the chance to actually do it.  

Eventually the job market will revive itself, the question is when?  But you can rest assured if you complete your degree or certification programs, you will be ten steps ahead of the game. 

Check with your local community colleges and universities, if interested in pursuing further development.
